The Washington Spirit has announced the club’s plans to commemorate the 2021 team’s historic championship victory at the season opening match against OL Reign on Sunday, May 1.

Immediately following the conclusion of the match, a celebratory banner will be unveiled followed by Mayor Muriel Bowser revealing an official proclamation declaring November 20 as Washington Spirit Day. Washington Spirit majority owner Michele Kang will then have the honor of presenting 2021 team members with their 10-karat, 120-stoned championship rings. As a special thank-you to loyal Spirit supporters, three season ticket holders will be selected at random to receive their own championship ring. These winners will be announced during the championship celebration program as well. Rules for this special ring giveaway are available here.
