The Washington Mystics picked up their second consecutive win against the Chicago Sky in WNBA action on September 12. Helping to lead the way for the Mystics was Tina Charles, who had 31 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.
For Charles this is the 10th game this season she has totaled 30 or more points in a game. With her most recent performance Charles has been able to join Maya Moore and Diana Taurasi as the only players to total 10 or more 30-poitn games in a single season.
In addition, Charles has totaled 11 double-doubles on the season, which marks the 11th 20/10 game of the season. This is the most 20/10 games by any player in a season.
Charles had a great all-around shooting night as she was able to go 4pf0r8 from the three-point range, and this is the ninth game this season she has been able to total three or more three-point makes in a game.
Another star for the Mystics in the team’s victory over Chicago is Natasha Cloud who netted 16 points, while also having a game-high eight assist. This is the 13th game this season she has been able to total seven or more assist in a game.
To round out the scoring for the Mystics was Shatori Walker-Kimbrough who had 14 points. This marks the fourth game this season she has been able to reach double figures. In addition to her fine shooting performance Walker-Kimbrough totaled a career-best six steals.
Up next for the Mystics who have moved their way up in the WNBA Eastern standings to third place, will be a game against the New York Liberty on September 17 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The tip between these two teams is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
