New York City FC started off the MLS season on a high note, as the boys in blue saw a 5-0 victory over FC Cincinnati. Since that time, the Boys in Blue had a 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Union, a 1-1 draw against Orlando City SC and Toronto FC.

In the club’s most recent action, the guys battled to a 2-1 loss against the Columbus Crew. Which ended a run of unbeaten games that had stretched four games. New York City FC struck first in the game against Columbus thanks to Ismael Tajouri-Shradi.

Columbus responded with goals from Lucas Zelaryan, which lifted the visiting side to victory.

Both sides had many quality chances throughout the night, but it was the Crew that was able to find the ball and the offensive momentum.

Now New York City FC will look to regain their winning ways, as the team will head out to California to take on Los Angeles Football Club. The match will be played at Banc of California Stadium on Saturday, May 29, with the action scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
