Washington Capitals looks to continue their winning ways against Bruins on Sunday

The Washington Capitals have been on a bit of a roller coaster ride as of late. As they have seen losing results to the New York Islanders and the Boston Bruins before finding a winning result against the Buffalo Sabres in their most recent NHL game on Friday.

In that game against the Sabres, the team saw scoring from Brenden Dillon, Alex Ovechkin, Justin Schultz, and Jakub Vrana.

In the cage Vitek Vanecek was able to earn his 16th victory of the season, which leads rookie goalkeepers. Vanecek now ranks tied for fifth among all goaltenders.

The team is currently tied with the New York Islanders for first place in the MassMutual East Division, with their 26-11-4 overall record.

The team will have a day to travel to Boston as they will be taking on the Bruins on Sunday. These two teams met earlier in the week, as the Caps are looking to avenge a 4-2 loss.

Leading the way in offense for that game was Ovechkin and T.J. Oshie.

The game between the Capitals and Bruins is set for 7:00 p.m. with fans wanting to catch the action can do so on the ESPN Plus Network.
