Thus far New York City FC have been looking great in their preseason play, in their most recent match the Boys in Blue were able to defeat D.C. United by a final of 2-1.

Taty Castellanos tallied the first goal of the match on a beautiful opportunity early in the action. The Boys in Blue put plenty of chances on net.

It was in the 25th minute that New York City FC tallied their second goal of the day, thanks to Gudi Thorainsson, who calmly found the back of the cage.

D.C. United were able to cut into the lead thanks to a tally by Kimarni Smith, but the Boys in Blue stood tall on defense shutting down the rest of the opportunities and walking away with a well-earned victory.
