The 2021 Major League Baseball Season is starting off great for the Baltimore Orioles, who defeated the Boston Red Sox this weekend by a score of 4-2 and 11-3 respectively.

Leading the way in the game on Saturday was Maikel Franco who got a hit and plated two runs, Anthony Santander had an RBI Single in the Top of the Fifth Inning and Trey Mancini plated a run on a sacrifice fly in the Top of the Seventh.

Making his debut on the mound for the Orioles in the game on Saturday was Matt Harvey, who tossed 4.2 innings, striking out four batters and giving up six hits.

The Orioles continued their offensive momentum on Sunday using two big innings in the First and Third to give them the lead.

Franco was one of the many bats that impressed for the Orioles in the Top of the First Inning, with his RBI Double. Baltimore saw doubles by Austin Hays and Trey Mancini along with a single by Ryan Mountcastle, which gave the team the 10-0 lead in the Top of the Third Inning.

Earning his first win of the 2021 season on the hill was Bruce Zimmermann, who was able to strike out five batters in six innings of work.

1495 Sports is proud to bring the following Baltimore Orioles Post Game Press Conference. Featuring thoughts from Manager Braydon Hyde along with stars Bruce Zimmermann and Cedric Mullins:

The Orioles will look to continue their positive momentum but will go up against one of the toughest tests of the season as they will take on the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium on Monday. First pitch between the two teams is set for 6:35 p.m.

On the mound for the Orioles will be Jorge Lopez, who had a strong showing during his Spring Training appearances. The righty held a 2.75 ERA in his time in Florida. For the Yankees they will have Jordan Montgomery, who had a 2-3 mark with the Bronx Bombers during the 2020 season.
