Baltimore Orioles edged by Pirates, 2-1

It was about as close of a game as you are going to get, but at the end the Baltimore Orioles fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates by a final of 2-1 in MLB action on Sunday.

Pittsburgh got the action going thanks to an RBI single by Troy Stokes in the Top of the First Inning. That was followed in the Second thanks to an RBI single by Adam Frazier.

Baltimore battled throughout the whole game, trying to scratch out a run and were rewarded in the Bottom of the Fourth Inning when Austin Wynns hit a sacrifice fly that cut the Pirates lead.
The Pirates pitchers stepped up and shut down the Orioles offense the rest of the way, to earn a nail-biting victory.

On the mound for the Orioles, Matt Harvey was able to sit down three batter, giving up five hits in five innings of work. It is projected for Harvey to be a part of the Orioles starting rotation when the team makes their way back to Baltimore.

Harvey has been battling back to earn a spot in a Major League Rotation somewhere, since his days of dazzling on the hill impressing the fans of New York, now it will be interesting to see if Harvey can regain his magic touch and impress the fans of the O’s. as he reclaims his spot as one of MLB’s best starters.

For the Pirates, Mitch Keller was able to strike out two batters in three innings of work to improve his Spring Training record to 1-1.
