Baltimore Orioles fall to Phillies, 6-2 in Spring Training action

Major League Baseball Season is getting closer and closer for the Baltimore Orioles who continue to see where all the pieces will go into place as they head to Oriole Park at Camden Yards for the 2021 Season. In the most recent game, the O’s fell to the Philadelphia Phillies by a tally of 6-2.

Baltimore’s lone offense came in the Bottom of the Third Inning, as Ryan McKenna was able to plate a run on a sacrifice fly, and an RBI single by Austin Hays.

 John Means was able to sit down four batters in four innings of work on the mound for the O’s, while the team also saw solid pitching performances from Cesar Valdez, Isaac Mattson, Mickey Jannis, and Jay Flaa.

The team is starting to make some roster moves as prospects Mike Baumann and Zac Lowther, Alexander Wells and Isaac Mattison were optioned to Triple-A Norfolk, it is seeming like all four will start the 2021 season with the team’s Minor League Club.

Up Next for the O’s they will be heading to TD Ballpark in Dunedin, Florida to take on the Toronto Blue Jays. On the mound for Baltimore will be Wade LeBlanc, who holds a 1-0 record. First pitch between these two teams will be 1:07 p.m.
