The Buffalo Sabres are on Long Island to take on the New York Islanders in NHL action that is set for 1:00 p.m.
This will be the fifth of eight meetings between the two clubs, with the Sabres looking to respond to a 5-2 loss that they suffered at the hands of the Islanders in their last meeting on March 4. Thus far Buffalo has a 2-7-1 record in their last 10 games versus the Islanders, while holding a 2-6-2 mark on the road.
Players to watch for on the Buffalo side of the ice will be Taylor Hall, who has recorded 19 points in the 20 games he played against the Islanders. Victor Olofsson has three points in four career road games as well.
One of the bright spots for the Sabers thus far this season has been their power play, as the team is currently ranked third in the NHL with a 7% conversion on the extra man opportunity. As they enter into the game the Sabers are tied with the Carolina Hurricanes with 10 different players with at least one goal on the power play.
