Great news for fans of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins as the team received approval from Governor Tom Wolf and the Pennsylvania Department of Health to reopen the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.
The team will be able to allow for limited fans to see the remainder of the 2021 American Hockey League Season, with the target date being March 19.
Safety will be the priority for the Penguins, who aim to give those attending the arena the fullest experience possible while maintaining social distancing.
Anyone holding season tickets with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be given priority to purchase tickets to the upcoming games, with exclusive access to pre-sale dates.
There will be a ton of enhancements to the Mohegan Sun Area at Casey Plaza, which includes plexiglass partitions around concession areas, removal of fabric seating with vinyl coverings and other new features.
For anyone attending the games are encouraged to wear their mask, while also attending social distancing protocols.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has 10 games scheduled from March 19 and the final home game of the season is set for May 12.
