Baltimore Orioles getting ready for the first game of Spring Training against the Pirates

The Baltimore Orioles will be playing the first of their 14 home games at Ed Smith Stadium on Sunday, February 28, at 1:05 p.m. against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

There will be a bunch happening prior to the game, so fans are encouraged to get to the park early, especially as the team will be celebrating Heroes Day, which is presented by the Cheney Brothers.

Baltimore will hold a special prename ceremony to honor the frontline workers and first responders, who have been working hard during the COVID-19 pandemic.

For anyone interested in attending the games, can do so as the Orioles are implementing ‘pod’ seating throughout the park. There will be 1,833 tickets available for each game. For anyone going to the park, fans are encouraged to wear the CDC-approved masks at all times.

1495 Sports is proud to bring the following video from Day 8 of Spring Training with the team. Included in the video are sights from the team’s training as well as thoughts from Manager Braydon Hyde, Freddy Galvis and Chris Davis.
