Buffalo Sabres falls to Islanders 3-2

The Buffalo Sabres fought hard the whole night, but they ultimately fell to the New York Islanders by a final of 3-2 on Long Island.

The Sabres were able to see a goal from Curtis Lazar, who tallied his fourth goal of the season, while Sam Reinhart was able to record his third goal in three games. In the cage for Buffalo was Linus Ullmark who made 20 saves in net.

One of the keys for the loss was the fact that the Sabres were not able to cash in on a power-play opportunity, as the team went 1-for-3 in the game while the penalty kill was 1-for-2.

The Sabres are hoping to regain their winning ways on Tuesday night when they go to New Jersey to take on the Devils on Tuesday night. The face-off between the Devils and Sabres is set for 7:00 p.m.
