The Buffalo Sabres made the call to forward Steven Fogarty and defender William Borgen along with Brandon Davidson from the team’s taxi squad. Forwards Rasmus Asplund and Andrew Oglevie have been reassigned from Rochester (AHL) to the team’s taxi squad.
Buffalo is set to take on the New York Islanders tonight at KeyBank Center. Fans wanting to catch the action can do so on the NBCSN.
Fogarty signed a one-year deal during the offseason, is hoping to make his Sabres debut. He has been skating well on the line of Tage Thompson and Riley Sheahan in a report seen on the Sabres website. Fogarty has been playing well for the team in Rochester earning the team’s Captaincy, while also recording a goal through two games.
Borgen, who is a fourth-round pick from the 2015 season, made his NHL debut during the 2018-19 season. Borgen has been playing with the team in Rochester, where he has been able to record 11 points in 61 games.
Davidson, who signed a one-year deal with the Sabres during the offseason, has appeared in 12 NHL games for the Calgary Flames and the San Jose Sharks last season. Thus far the 29-year-old has 23 points in 174 career games.
