Washington Capitals looks to rebound in game against Philadelphia on Tuesday

This will be the second of eight meetings between the Washington Capitals and the Philadelphia Flyers, in what should be a thriller at Capital One Arena. The Flyers took the first game on Sunday by a 7-4 margin.

This will be the 13th game of the season for the Capitals, who are looking to figure out how to find a winning result again on the ice.

The team played well through two periods of play in the game on Sunday, but just were out grinded by Philadelphia who used some stellar defensive plays, which led to offensive opportunities that won the game.

The Capitals saw the return of Lars Eller in their line-up, who will be a huge plus for the team. Eller who had some tremendous chances in that first game against the Flyers, has a total of 133 goals in his NHL career to go along with 164 assists.

Washington as well as the rest of the NHL has been struggling when it comes time for finding healthy bodies to be on the ice. The team got a bunch of good news in their practice on Monday at the MedStar Capitals Iceplex as Justin Schultz and Evgeny Kuznetsov were able to skate with the team. Both players are taking things on a day-by-day basis as they are hoping to be able to skate and play with the team for the rest of the season.

In the game on Sunday, it was the combination of Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson that were able to create some wonderful opportunities on the offensive side of the ice. The Team also saw leading scorer Nicklas Backstrom find the back of the cage.

For the Capitals they are just are going to have to try to figure out how to get the offensive style that they had in the first two periods of play into the whole game and hope that will lead them to a winning result.

After the game tonight (Tuesday) the team will have a chance to continue to work on their offensive game plan, get those players who are getting back on the ice up to speed with some time off thanks to some postponements on the schedule. The next game for the Capitals will be on Valentines day this Sunday, against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pittsburgh with the action scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
