Sabres set to Host Devils in Saturday Matinee

The Buffalo Sabres (3-3) are getting ready to host the New Jersey Devils (3-3) in a Saturday Matinee at KeyBank Center, with face-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m. For anyone wanting to watch the game they can do so on the MSG Plus network.

This is the first of eight meetings between the Sabres and Devils this season. In the last meeting the Sabres were able to defeat the Devils by tally of 7-1 in game held on December 2, 2019.

The Sabres hold a 4-6-0 record in the last 10 games against the Devils, while having a 4-5-1 mark at home. This will be the 160th all-time game between these two teams: with Buffalo holding a 78-55-26 series record.

When the Sabres play on January 30th they have an overall record of 10-7-3. Buffalo has been able to win both meetings with New Jersey last season, they were able to score seven goals in each game, both which took place in Buffalo.

If the Sabres are able to get a win on Saturday, that would allow for them to get a victory in three consecutive matchups with the Devils for the first time since October 23, 2010 to March 26, 2011.

The Sabres are looking for solid performances from players like Jack Eichel, who has been skating really well with the team as of late and has always performed well against New Jersey. Eichel has recorded 12 points in his 11 career games against the Devils, including three points in each of the last two meetings.

Some other players to watch for are Rasmus Dahlin and Taylor Hall. Dahlin has been able to total five assists in four games against the Devils, and Hall has been able to record seven points in seven career games.
