Hofstra freshman Kvonn Cramer earned the first Colonial Athletic Association honor of his career as he was named the CAA Rookie of the Week, it was announced this morning by the conference office.
In the Pride’s two games last week, Cramer averaged 10.5 points, eight rebounds, and 2.5 steals per outing. He notched his first career double-double in the win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Monday with 12 points and 10 rebounds and followed that up with a nine-point, six-rebound effort versus Iona on Saturday.
Through three games of his freshman campaign, Cramer is averaging 9.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He is shooting 57% from the field and leads the Pride with eight steals.
Hofstra is back in action on Wednesday when it faces Stony Brook at 7 p.m.
