The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation is accepting applications for its Young Ambassador Program through Monday, Nov. 30. The Young Ambassadors program was developed based on the belief in the power of youth to make a difference in the world in the areas of health and education.
Applicants must be between the ages of 12 and 18 and reside in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, New York, New Jersey or Connecticut. HLFYAs will serve from January 2021 – October 2021.
Young Ambassadors will be expected to complete a minimum 15 hours of community service, complete one independent service project in support of the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation mission, participate in at least one Henrik Lundqvist Foundation-hosted event or service project, make a short presentation to his or her class, team or other community group about their work as a Henrik Lundqvist Foundation Young Ambassador and participate in the annual Henrik Lundqvist Foundation Youth Ambassador KidsJam Kan Jam Tournament event. Youth will be guided through the 2021 program requirements virtually in order to ensure the safety of all participants.
Following completion of the program, HLFYAs are invited to apply for the HLF SAVE Scholarship. Launched in 2020, this annual award is available exclusively to the young men and women who complete the Young Ambassadors program and go on to pursue any form of higher education.

The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation was founded in 2014 by Lundqvist and his wife Therese to make a difference in the lives of children and their families throughout the world, in the areas of health and education. The Young Ambassadors program was developed because HLF believes in the incredible power of young people to make a difference in the world.
Applications are available online and will be reviewed by the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation, with the 2021 Young Ambassadors class to be announced in late December 2020. Click here to apply.
