Youth to lead Baltimore Orioles this Season

There are plenty of great prospects and new faces to watch for in the upcoming 2020 Major League Baseball season for the Baltimore Orioles, who are looking to make a splash in the upcoming season.

Some of the players to watch for will be ace John Means, former top picks Austin Hays and Hunter Harvey, slugging designated hitter Renato Núñez. Fans can look for an immediate contribution from All-Star José Iglesias, who the Orioles signed to play shortstop. Veterans  Wade LeBlanc and Tommy Milone are going to be a huge part to the starting rotation and are also hoping to see overall improvement in play from regulars Hanser Alberto, Rio Ruiz and Pedro Severino.

Fans who are interested in seeing what the future of the Orioles franchise will be like can look to prospects such as Ryan Mountcastle, Dean Kremer, Keegan Akin and others to play a huge part of the shortened 60-game MLB Season for Baltimore.

One of the prospects that has a chance at cracking the roster for the upcoming season is Yusniel Diaz, who was projected to see time in the team’s Triple-A Club this season. Diaz has a slugging percentage of .464 during the 2019 season, while recording 84 hits and ripping 11 home runs. It will be interesting to see what Manager Brandon Hyde will do with this upcoming outfielder during the course of the season.

It has been a long time since the Baltimore Orioles have opened up the Major League Baseball Season in Fenway Park. The last time they did this feat was in 1966, the home opener against the Miami Marlins will also be a historical one as they do not open against Interleague Opponents that often.

Exciting times for sure not only for the Orioles, but for all of Major League Baseball as this will be an unpredictable season. Just about any team has a shot for the Playoffs and with the combination of players that are on the Orioles this season, you know they will be one of many that will put on a thrilling brand of baseball during this upcoming season.
