On Tuesday the team announced that they have acquired the rights to defenseman Adrian Sorichetti and a second round selection in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft in exchange for Tyson Bomberry and a fifth round pick in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft.

Sorichetti, selected 13th overall in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft by the then-Edmonton Rush, has played in 90 career games over six seasons and won three NLL titles with the Rush. “I’m excited for the opportunity to potentially have Adrian in a Riptide uniform,” Riptide General Manager Jim Veltman said. “He is a veteran in the league who will bring championship experience to the team, is solid defensively, and good in transition. I’d like to thank Tyson and wish him success with the Seals.”

Selected 10th overall in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft, Bomberry saw action in 11 games in his rookie season. He had one assist to go along with 29 loose balls and four caused turnovers.
