Staten Island Yankees Wrap-Up July 2

The Staten Island Yankees currently hold a 5-11 overall record, and are in the middle of a three game set in the Battle of the Bridge against the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Tonight (Monday) is Game Two between Staten Island and Brooklyn, as the Baby Bombers will hold Military Appreciation night at Richmond County Bank Ballpark.

Fans are encouraged to head down to the ballpark as as various Military Vehicles will be on display at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. The First Pitch will be thrown out by  the Captain of the United States Coast Card Sector Jason Tama and numerous Military Branches will have tables on the concourse.

Here are some offensive contributors so far for the Staten Island Yankees in the last few games:

Frederick Cuevas doubled and Jackson Thoreson singled in the 2-0 victory over Tri-City on June 26

Andres Chapparo had two doubles and Eduardo Torrealba singled in Game 1 vs Connecticut on June 28

Alex Junior singled and Eduardo Torrealba doubled in Game 2 vs Connecticut

Eric Wagaman hit a Home Run in Game 3 versus Connecticut

Andres Chaparro Homered in Game 1 versus the Cyclones

Staten Island will conclude the three game set against the Cyclones at MCU Park on July 3, before returning to Richmond County Bank Ballpark to start a three game set against the Hudson Valley Renegades on July 4

Starters for the game versus Brooklyn are projected to be RHP Christian James (1-0, 1.13 ERA) for the Cyclones vs. RHP Juan De Paula (0-0, 0.93 ERA) for Staten Island.
