B-Mets Drop Tough Home Game to Hartford, 7-6

The Binghamton Mets dropped the final game of a four-game series to the Hartford Yard Goats by a final of 7-6 on  Sunday afternoon at NYSEG Stadium. The B-Mets and Yard Goats split this series and will look to get some wins when they face Hartford at their Stadium in August.

Noel Cuevas delivered the pinch-hit RBI for the visitors that eventually gave them the victory, in what was a back-and-forth battle between the two teams.

As for the B-Mets leading the way offensivley was Dominic Smith and Victor Cruzado who both had three hits and two RBI’s each. Raywilly Gomez and Derrik Gibson both had two hits and an RBI.

Starting for the home team was Mickey Jannis, who worked six innings striking out four batters. Jannis also had a double in the third inning.

The B-Mets continue the homestand on Monday at 6:35 PM, beginning a three-game series with the Bowie Baysox.
