New York City FC and the Montreal Impact played to a 1-1 draw in front of an electric 23,252 on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.
RJ Allen recorded the first goal of the match in the 51 minute, which was also his first as a professional. For Allen this was his second apperance of the season, and his first start for New York City FC.
The Montreal Impact were able to tie things up just as the match went into stoppage time. It was Dominic Oduro who was able to connect on a free kick with a diving header at the near post, within the first minute of extra time.
New York and Montreal both had amazing chances throughout the night to capture the three points, but at the end had to walk out of Yankee Stadium with the Draw.
For New York City FC, they were able to move one point ahead of the New York Red Bulls and Chicago Fire with seven points from its first eight matches.
