New York City FC had a tough draw against Toronto FC in front of a rocking Yankee Stadium filled with 30,315 fans in Major League Soccer action.
The hosts struck in the First Half as Captain David Villa connected on a Penalty Kick in the 28th minute for the 1-0 lead. Villa had a second goal in the 28 minute finding a free kick that was sent in by Andrea Pirlo.
Toronto FC found the back of the end during the end of the first half, as Damien Perquis gave the visiting side the momentum, cutting the NYCFC lead to 2-1.
Sebastian Giovinco tied things up at the 77th minute, and that was the way the score stood, even though both teams had great efforts in the match.
New York City FC will next be in action on Friday, March 18, as they host Orlando City SC in a match that will air on the UniMás Network. The match between NYCFC and Orlando City SC is scheduled for 7:00 pm at Yankee Stadium.
