New York City FC (1-5-3; 6 points) travels into New Jersey for their first ever match against the New York Red Bulls (3-1-4; 13 points) on Sunday evening.

While New York City FC has been finding their chemistry and building as a unit, the Red Bulls have made their climb to the top of the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference standings.

The Red Bulls are going to be hungry after suffering their first loss of the season, a 2-1 decision to the New England Revolution on May 2.

New York City FC who have been improving in their play on the field are looking to snap out of the current funk they are in and earn a victory on the pitch.

Mehdi Ballouchy is the lone player that has had the opportunity to play for both clubs, and has led in chances created with 13 total and is one of just 16 players (minimum 6 appearances) in MLS 2015 to average 2.17 chances created per game.

Ballouchy also has two goals on just six shots in MLS 2015 thus far. New York City FC had two players impressing in their debut with the club as Pablo Alvarez and RJ Allen both had positive minutes.

Alvarez was a spark on the offensive side of the field, helping to set-up many chances in the match versus the Seattle Sounders FC, while Allen showed a great defensive game.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT from Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ. The match will be broadcast nationally on Fox Sports 1.
