The St. John’s Men’s Basketball team (11-1) continued their strong play with a 82-57 victory over Tulane 99-3) in the First of Three Games at the Brooklyn Hoops Winter Festival held at the Barclays Center.

For the Red Storm the last time the program saw an 11-1 record was in 1985-86, helping to lead the way for the 2014-15 squad was Senior Sir’Dominic Pointer  who had a new career-high in scoring with his 24 points. Pointer was able to contribute on all ends of the floor for St. John’s as the Guard/Forward was all over the place providing energy and great effort for the team.

Classmate D’Angelo Harrison continues to climb up the ranks of the St. John’s all-time scoring list as the guard now has sole possession of 5th Place on the program’s career scoring list. Harrison finished the night in the double-figure column for the 11th time in 12 games this season with his 21 points.

Rounding out the scoring for the Red Storm was Sophomore Rysheed Jordan who finished the game with 12 points.

St. John’s will now head into BIG EAST Conference play on December 31, when they take on longtime rival Seton Hall on December 31 in Newark, NJ.
