Saint Joseph’s Men’s Basketball Falls to Western Kentucky in NIT Season Tip-Off Tournament

The Saint Joseph’s Men’s Basketball Team (3-3) fell to Western Kentucky (2-3) by a final score of 62-59 in the NIT Season Tip-Off Tournament that was held at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.

Though the Hawks fought to the end the Hilltoppers used their size and athletic ability to gain the victory.

Leading the way for Saint Joseph’s was Sophomore Forward DeAndre’ Bembry (Charlotte, N.C.) who finished with a career-high 23 points. Bembry was able to find most of his scoring in the Second Half of the game recording scored 16 in the second half for Saint Joseph’s.

Sophomore Forward Javon Baumann (Solms-Oberbiel, Germany) added a career-high 11 points, while Junior Forward Isaiah Miles (Owings Mills, Md.) recorded nine points.

Western Kentucky had three players in double-digit scoring with George Fant leading all scorers with his 17 points.
