The Long Island Ducks (17-13) were feeling the power with five home runs in the 19-3 victory over the Lancaster Barnstormers (19-14) in Atlantic League of Professional Baseball action on Wednesday night.

Infielder and Designated Hitter Randy Ruiz hit a grand slam in the first inning for Long Island. Ruiz who was able to get one over the left field wall recorded his first homer for  the Ducks, while also helping the team get  on the board early. Long Island would get a second grand slam in the fourth inning as Captain Lew Ford went yard over the left-center field wall with two outs in the game for the 8-0 lead.

The Ducks added five more runs in the fifth to make the advantage 13-0, as Adam Bailey launched a three-run homer to combine with a Ford two-run double that accounted for all of the runs. Ruiz would record his second homer in the game, a solo bomb in the sixth to make the lead 14-o

Lancaster was able to strike in the sixth, but at the end of the game it was the Ducks bats were able to add on and get the Game Two victory.

On the hill for Long Island starter John Brownell (3-3) earned the victory, tossing six innings, allowing three runs on six hits and six walks while striking out two.

Every Ducks batter was able to reach base and score a run in the game, as the Ducks set season-highs in runs, hits and homers in a single game. Ford and Ruiz led the offense with four hits apiece.
