MSG Network will telecast 15 New York Liberty home games for the 2014 WNBA season starting Tuesday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. when the team hosts the Seattle Storm at Madison Square Garden.
The MSG Network’s Liberty broadcast team will feature veteran play-by-play announcer Mike Crispino along with analyst Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, who returns for her third season behind the mic.
New York enters its second season under head coach and general manager Bill Laimbeer. In addition to All-Star guard Cappie Pondexter, the Liberty added 2012 WNBA MVP and former No. 1 draft pick Tina Charles in an offseason trade that will bolster the team’s starting frontcourt. All-Star forward Essence Carson is also expected to return to the court after a season-ending left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear last season. In addition to this trio, New York will rely on a group of proven veterans, including Plenette Pierson, Kara Braxton, Delisha Milton-Jones and Alex Montgomery, along with second-year player Toni Young .
2014 will mark the Liberty’s return to Madison Square Garden following three seasons at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, where they played during the three-year, top-to-bottom Transformation of The World’s Most Famous Arena, which was completed in October 2013.
Below is the regular season television schedule for the New York Liberty on MSG Network. 15 of the 17 home games will air on MSG, and the additional two games will air nationally on ESPN2.
