“We are extremely excited to play our second game at Barclays Center,” New York Islanders General Manager Garth Snow said. “It was a special night, seeing all of our passionate fans pack the building last September and hearing the ‘Lets Go Islanders’ chant throughout the game. We are looking forward to making Brooklyn our home the following season. This is a great way for our fans to see how easy the commute is to this world class facility in Brooklyn, the friendly staff that awaits them as they walk through the entrance, and the numerous amenities that only Barclays Center offers.”

“Last year’s inaugural Islanders game at Barclays Center proved that Brooklynites are excited about NHL hockey coming to the borough,” Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark said. “We are thrilled to give Brooklyn another sneak peak at its future hometown NHL team and are committed to growing its fan base, building its brand, and making the team a big part of the community. Barclays Center offers great access for our guests via the Long Island Rail Road, subways, and buses and we are looking forward to another big crowd at the game en route to the Islanders’ full-time move to Brooklyn.”

Barclays Center and the Long Island Rail Road are coordinating to provide extended train service to accommodate the guests after the Islanders-Devils game.

Barclays Center is currently accepting deposits for priority to purchase Islanders season tickets for the inaugural season. Current Islanders season ticket holders have first rights to purchase season tickets.  For more information, fans can click on the Islanders logo, located at http://barclayscenter.com. Capacity for hockey at Barclays Center is 15,795.

As with all events at Barclays Center, arena staff will work closely with the MTA to coordinate mass transit to and from the arena and with the NYPD and other City agencies to ensure safety and security procedures are strictly followed and enforced.
