Islanders v Capitals 2/4/14

Here are some notes for the New York Islanders (21-28-8) as the guys are on the road getting ready to take on the Washington Capitals (25-22-9) in NHL action on Tuesday.

LAST GAME

1/31/14: NYI 1 at NYR 4

The Islanders had 39 shots and 63 total attempts, but could only beat Henrik Lundqvist once, as they dropped a 4-1 decision to the New York Rangers on Friday night at Madison Square Garden.

TONIGHT’S MATCHUP

The Islanders and Capitals play Game 3 of their four-game season series tonight. Washington won the first two meetings of 2013-14, including an overtime decision in the last match up on Nov. 30. The Isles are 4-1-5 in their last ten games against the Caps.
