Here are some notes as the New York Islanders (11-21-7) are on the road to take on the Minnesota Wild (20-15-5) in Sunday night NHL action.

Travis Zajac scored the game winner with 6:57 remaining as the New Jersey Devils defeated the New York Islanders 2-1 Saturday night at Nassau Coliseum. Frans Nielsen tied the score for the Isles earlier in the frame with his 13th of the season.
TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
The Islanders complete their back-to-back weekend set tonight in Minnesota. It’s the first of two meetings this season between the Isles and Wild. The Islanders have won their last three meetings against Minnesota.
TEAM NOTES:
Consecutive Starts: John Tavares‘ consecutive games played streak ended Saturday due to a lower body injury. He’d played 246 straight games, dating back to Oct. 16, 2010. His streak is the fifth-longest consecutive game streak in Islander history (Billy Harris 576, Bob Nystrom 301, Matt Moulson 284, Denis Potvin 262, John Tavares 246).
Point Streaks: Frans Nielsen (3g/2a) and Kyle Okposo (2g/3a) are on five game point streaks. Thomas Vanek is on a four game point streak (3g/2a).
Back-To-Backs: The Islanders complete their 10th set of back-to-back games tonight. They are 4-6-0 on the front end, and 2-5-2 on the back-end of back-to-backs this season. The club will total 16 back-to-back sets this season.
The Islanders and Wild game is set to air on the MSG Plus network, with face-off scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
