New York Cosmos 2014 Spring Schedule Released

The North American Soccer League (NASL) and New York Cosmos announced on Thursday the 2014 spring schedule. The Cosmos begin defense of their 2013 Soccer Bowl championship onSunday, April 13 at 5 p.m. when they host last year’s runner-up Atlanta Silverbacks at Hofstra University’s Shuart Stadium.

The Soccer Bowl rematch begins a nine-game spring season for the Cosmos, where the club plays five home matches and four road games. The winner of the spring season title earns the right to host the 2014 NASL Soccer Bowl in November.

The Cosmos alternate home and away games for the entire spring season. After kicking off against Atlanta, the club plays home to the San Antonio Scorpions, Minnesota United and both NASL expansion clubs – Indy Eleven and Ottawa Fury FC. All home games will be once again played at Hofstra University’s Shuart Stadium. The fall and full promotional schedules will be announced at a later date.

Cosmos vs. Atlanta Silverbacks – Sunday, April 13, 5 p.m.

Cosmos vs. San Antonio Scorpions – Saturday, April 26, 7 p.m.

Cosmos vs. Minnesota United – Monday, May 12, 7:30 p.m.

Cosmos vs. Indy Eleven – Saturday, May 24, 7 p.m.

Cosmos vs. Ottawa Fury FC – Sunday, June 8, 5 p.m.
