The New York Mets have set a date for their yearly food drive, as they continue their Feeding the Big Apple program presented by Hain Celestial,

The Mets encourage all fans to drop off 10 nonperishable food items inside of the Mets Team Store on November 12, 2013 and as a reward they will receive a voucher good for two tickets to a designated game in the franchises 2014 season.
Donors will also receive a 15% off select Mets merchandise at the Mets Team Store. For those who are Season Ticket Holders are encouraged to show their ID that day to get a 20% discount for that day.
Most needed at the food drive are:
- Canned fruit
- Canned vegetables
- Peanut butter (plastic jars)
- Mac and cheese (packaged)
- Hot and cold cereal (packaged, family size)
