New York Mets infielders Josh Satin and Justin Turner was on hand at Noll Field in Bushwick, Brooklyn on Tuesday, August 8 to pass along their passion and baseball skills to the North Brooklyn YMCA as part of YMCA Jr. Mets Presented by Citi. This is the third event in this year’s series of programming.
Satin and Turner are two Mets players with bright futures after successful collegiate careers. Satin was an All-American at Cal Berkeley while Turner is a College World Series Champion and former All-American at Cal State Fullerton. The duo of Mets infielders have made significant contributions to the team this year, showing flexibility and teamwork at a variety of positions.
YMCA Jr. Mets Presented by Citi is a comprehensive youth baseball program that emphasizes the fun of playing baseball while developing athletic and social skills, practicing the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Themes of sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play are central to the annual program.
