Here are some notes for those fans that are getting ready to watch the New York Rangers (12-8-2) who are getting ready to play host to the Ottawa Senators (12-8-4) in NHL action at Madison Square Garden.

This is the second of three meetings between these two teams, as the Blueshirts look to avenge a 3-2 shootout loss that happened on 2/21.

New York enters into MSG on a four-game winning streak, after recording a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over Big Apple Rival the New York Islanders on Thursday. The Blueshirts can gain some major momentum on Ottawa with a victory tonight, as the Rangers trail the Senators by two points in the standings.

With Marc Staal out indefinitely it will be up to newly acquired Roman Hamrlik to bolster the blueline for the Rangers. Hamrlik did well in his first action, skating in 15:48 ice time. The defenseman has been a reliable one in his career having played in 1,384 NHL games.

On the offensive side of the puck, Rick Nash continues to be a man on fire in recording his eighth goal of the season. Nash continues to be clutch for New York, as thus far he has recorded his goals in the third period of play.

Forward Derek Stephan has six points in his past four games, while Marian Gaborik has points in his past three.

The only bad news for Rangers fans is the fact that the Senators have always played well at the Garden, where they have won playoff games last spring-while also holding a 11-1-1 mark in the regular season since 2005-06.

Fans can have a chance to tune in to what will be a highly entertaining game, as the Rangers and Senators game is set to air on the MSG Network, with face-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
