This will be the first of two meetings between the Knicks and Clippers this season and the lone matchup at Madison Square Garden. New York was paced by JR Smith’s 21 points and five assists in one meetings against the Clippers last season. Carmelo Anthony added 17 points and six boards.

In the Knicks last victory against the Timberwolves on Friday, Anthony helped to lead the offense with a team-high 36 points and nine rebounds. Smith came off the bench to tally 15 points and eight boards.

For Anthony his 36 points was the 17th time eclipsing the 30-point mark and the 37th time leading the team in scoring. Carmelo is leading the NBA in first quarter scoring this season at 8.7 points. His 8.7 points in the first quarter has helped the Knicks average 25.4 points in the first quarter, which is seventh in the NBA.

Congrats Kidd:

Knicks Play on Feb 10th:

The Knicks have always played well on the 10th of February as on this date in 1968 the team recorded a 115-97 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers in their final game at the Old Garden on 49th Street.

In More recent history Jeremy Lin paced New York with a game-high 38 points in the 92-85 victory against the Lakers in a rocking Garden.
