Knicks vs. Timberwolves 2/8/13

Here are some notes for those fans who are watching the New York Knicks (31-16) who are on the road to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves (18-28) in NBA action.

This will be the final two meetings between the Knicks and Timberwolves this season and the lone game at the Target Center. New York is looking to extend its three-game winning streak versus Minnesota.

Carmelo Anthony paced the Knicks posting 33 points and seven rebounds in one game, while Tyson Chandler added 16 points and nine boards.

New York saw their five-game winning streak come to an end, when the guys fell to the Washington Wizards by a finals score of 106-85 on Wednesday. Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 31 points and nine rebounds in over 44 minutes.

The Knicks have always played well on the 8th of February. In 1956 Joe Lapchick coached his final game with the team, recording his 326th career victory. In 2012 Jeremy Lin recorded 23 points and 10 assists, while Steve Novak buries five three-point shots in route to a 19-point night in the 107-93 victory over Washington.

The Knicks and Timberwolves are set to play on the MSG Network with tip-off scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
