Here are some notes for those fans watching the New York Knicks (27-15) who are getting ready to host the Orlando Magic (14-30) in NBA action at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.

This will be the third of four meetings against the Magic and the first of two games at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks were able to gain victories in their first two meetings in Orlando on November 15 and January 5.

Helping to pace New York in two battles against Orlando has been Carmelo Anthony who had 32.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists. JR Smith recorded 19.5 points, 5.0 boards in two meetings against the Magic.

Anthony has been on fire for the Knicks, as the newly named All-Star eclipsed the 40-point mark for the fourth time this season against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. Carmelo is the first Knick with a pair of 45-point games in a season since Allan Houston posted games of 53 and 50 in the 2002-03 season (Elias Sports Bureau).

Smith, meanwhile has posted double-figures in points in 23 of his last 26 games. Smith’s 16.2 points-per-game is second in the NBA among players coming off the bench.

Center Tyson Chandler, who was also named to the 2013 All-Star team has le the team in rebounds 30 times, while eclipsing the 10-rebound mark 23 times this season. Chandler sits eighth in the NBA in rebounding at 10.7 per game, while also leading the NBA with a franchise-record .679 FG percentage.

Possible Knicks Milestones to watch for:

Carmelo Anthony needs 46 points for 17,000 in his NBA career

Jason Kidd is 11 assists shy of 12,000 in his career

The Knicks and Magic game is set to air on the MSG Network with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m.
