Here are notes for those fans watching the Brooklyn Nets (20-15) host the Phoenix Suns (12-24) in NBA action at the Barclays Center on Friday night.

If the Nets win it would be the second consecutive victory over Phoenix, while ending a five-game losing streak. A victory would also tie the longest winning streak of the season (five games).

Brooklyn’s defense has been a key part of their game, as the Nets have held 22 of their first 35 opponents under 100 points in regulation and is 17-5 in those games.  The Black and White have two players in the NBA’s top 10 rebounding percentage in Reggie Evans (1st, 24.5) and Kris Humphries (12th, 18.5).

Evans was able to grab a career-high 23 boards and a season-high 17 defensive rebounds in the Nets last game against the 76ers. Deron Williams led all scorers for Brooklyn in Philly with 22 points (7-11 FG, 3-6  3FG).

Williams is averaging 20.0 points and 8.8 assist per-game over the last four games, while also shooting 48.1 (26-54) from the field and 50% (10-20) from the three-point range.

Brook Lopez has been making a statement when it comes time to going to the All-Star game, as the Center is the only player in the NBA averaging at least 18 points, seven rebounds and two blocks per-game this season.

Over the last seven games, Lopez is averaging 22.1 points. 7.5 boards and 1.6 blocks while shooting 59.8% from the field and 86.7% from the line.
