1495 Sports is proud to bring the following as the Hofstra University men’s basketball team opened up Colonial Athletic Association play with a 52-50 victory over Georgia State.

Leading the way for the Pride in double-digit scoring were Stevie Mejia and Taran Buie. Mejia recorded 17 points including the game-winning shot for Hofstra, while Buie tallied 12.
