Down on the Farm Report: New York Islanders

There have been several New York Islanders who are skating with AHL affiliate the Bridgeport Sound Tigers during the Lockout. Thus far the Sound Tigers have a 2-0-0 record in the 2012-13 season.

The most recent victory for Bridgeport was a 4-2 victory over the Providence Bruins, which was also the first home game of the season. Having a great game in the cage was keeper Kevin Poulin who made 29 saves.

On offense Brock Nelsen helped the Sound Tigers score the first goal of the game on a shorthanded opportunity, with the assist coming from Brandon DeFazio. Nino Niederreiter redirected a puck in the middle frame to help Bridgeport take a 2-1 lead.

The Sound Tigers will look to continue their perfect record when they take the road on October 20 to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05 p.m.
