With things frozen on the ice the Islanders continue Fight against Breast Cancer

The New York Islanders have had a long tradition of giving back and making a huge impact in the community. One of the biggest differences the franchises have been able to make is through their Hockey Fights Cancer campaign.

With the calendar turning to October and the action on the ice being frozen as of now, those still faithful to the Orange and Blue can still make an impact by supporting the team. The franchise who has been able to do a ton of work through their Islanders Children’s Foundation is in need of vital founds, which will be sent to local cancer hospitals, research facilities and awareness organizations.

The team will continue to highlight inspirational survivor stories for the month of October, and most of these are coming straight from the Long Island Community. Thanks to the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York Facing forward program, the Isles will still continue to be an inspiration, while making an impact during this most important month of Breast Cancer Awareness.
