The Chilean National Soccer team announced on Wednesday, the 21-man roster for their international match against Ecuador on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in the game to be played at Citi Field in Flushing. Head CoachClaudio Borghi, will have his brightest stars on hand to help him secure a victory against fellow South American team.

Chile is set to have superstar forwards Alexis Sánchez from Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona and Humberto Suazo from Mexico’s Monterrey, and midfielder Arturo Vidal from Juventus FC, among others. The match will be played during an official FIFA window, which allows both national teams to call-up their star players.

The match between Chile and Ecuador is their 44^th encounter between the two national teams, but the first outside of South America.  Thus far Chile has held the edge with a 25-6-12 record, and hope to continue their winning ways in the game on August 15.
