New York Islanders add Boulton on Day Two of Free Agent Period

The New York Islanders continue to add depth and toughness in the free agent period, by signing veteran winger Eric Boulton to a one-year contract.

Boulton may look familiar to fans in the Metropolitan area, as the 35-year –old was last seen with the New Jersey Devils. In 600 career NHL games the winger has 73 points (27 goals, 46 assists in 1,265 penalty minutes.

The Halifax, NS-native is the third player that the Islanders have signed to have playoff experience, playing in four Stanley Cup appearances with the Atlanta Thrashers.

Things will continue to be busy as the free agent period has just started to heat up for all the NHL teams.
