1495 Sports to bring live scoring updates for Mets vs. Dodgers 6/28/12

1495 Sports will be bringing a live scoring updates as the New York Mets take on the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday June 28, 2012 at 10:10 p.m.

The Mets will have starter Chris Young taking on former New York starter Chris Capuano.

New York was able to snap a four game losing streak with a 17-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday. Leading the charge for the Mets were Ruben Tejada, Ike Davis and Daniel Murphy who all had three hits each.

Mets-Stats:

Daniel Murphy recorded his first home run in the game since July 16, 2011 in the fourth inning. Murphy and Davis both finished the game 3-for-5 with  four RBI’s and three extra-base hits.

For Davis the four RBI’s matched his career-high. Tallying the second grand slam of his career was Scott Hairston who was able to get one to left center field in the top of the sixth inning.

Starter Jon Niese now has five quality starts in the last seven times he has been on the mound. Niese recorded seven innings, gave up eight hits but also had six strikeouts.

David Wright lead the team in RBI’s with five, the third baseman will look to continue to shine under the bright lights of Hollywood-as Wright holds a .588 slugging percentage against the Dodgers.

Meanwhile for Young, the righty has a 2-5 record against Los Angeles in the 14 games that he has started.  The Dallas, Texas-native has been able to record 65 strike outs against the Dodgers, while also having a 4.02 ERA.
