New York Rangers announce 2012-13 schedule

The New York Rangers announced the schedule for the 2012-13 season, as the Blueshirts will open on the road against reigning Stanley Cup Champions the Los Angeles Kings on Friday, October 12. Following a season-high eight-game road trip, the Rangers’ home openers will be on Thursday, November 1 against the Dallas Stars.

New York is slated to face each NHL team at least one time over the course of the year, and will have rivalry games against the Devils, Islanders, Flyers and Penguins a total of four times apiece.

There will be three Saturday contest at Madison Square Garden, and nine Sunday games, in addition the Blueshirts are scheduled to have 14 back-to-back sets, including one back-to-back home set on Feb. 17 and 18 vs. Philadelphia and Buffalo.
