1495 Sports live scoring update final: Islanders fall to Sabres 2-1

1495 Sports live scoring update final: The New York Islanders (25-27-8) fell to the Buffalo Sabres (26-27-7) by a final score of 2-1 in NHL action on Tuesday night. Here is the scoring recap for all Islanders fans:

First Period:

1:21: 1-0 Sabres  Tyler Myers (6) Wrist Shot, Assists: Derek Roy (20) and Jason Pominville (35)

 

Second Period:

 

3:41: 2-0 Sabres Thomas Vanek (22) Wrist Shot, Assists:  Derek Roy (21) and  Jason Pominville (36)

 

It is being reported that Isles center Josh Bailey has back spasms and will not return to the game tonight.

 

Third Period:

14:52: 2-1 Sabres  Islanders center Frans Nielsen (13)  cuts into the Buffalo lead with a Slap Shot, Assists: P. A. Parenteau (42) and Kevin Poulin

For Poulin the assist is the first NHL point for the cager, who made 35 saves in the game.

The Islanders drop to 14th in the East and fall to seven points out of of the 8th and final playoff spot.
