Knicks fizzle in Houston in 97-84 loss

The New York Knicks (7-13) fell to the Houston Rockets (12-8) by a final score fo 97-84 in NBA action on Saturday.  Leading the New York offense was Amar’e Stoudemire had a big night with 23 points and eight boards. Also helping to lead the Knicks offense was Tyson Chandler who finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Helping to lead Houston to the victory, was the bench, who has outplayed New York. As Houston recorded more points 47-22 and more rebounds 11-7.

Point guard Jeremy Lin impressed coming off the bench for New York, driving to the net hard and playing well. The newest addition to the New York roster finished the game with nine points, six assists, while grabbing three boards.

New York will host the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday January 31 at Madison Square Garden. Tip-off for the Knicks/Pistons game is slated for 7:30 p.m.
