The New York Mets continue to make moves to bolster the team for the 2012 season. It has been reported on the Mets.com site that the franchise reached an agreement with shortstop Ronny Cedeno to a one-year dear.
It has also been reported that New York is close to re-signing outfielder Scott Hariston. Neither deal is official yet, but when it does it will for sure fill many needs for the Mets.
Starting pitcher Johan Santana is three weeks into the regular throwing program, as the lefty is now throwing off flat ground on consecutive days from a distance of 75 feet. It has been 16 months since Santana has had surgery on his left shoulder.
