The New York Islanders (11-17-6) are looking to end a three game losing streak, as well as 2011 with a bang as they play host to the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers on Thursday and Saturday night respectively.
Prior to the game against the Oilers on Saturday, the Islanders will induct Ken Morrow into their Hall of Fame. The blueliner helped New York win their first Stanley Cup in 1980, to become the first player to win the Olympic Gold and an NHL championship in one season.
The team will also hold a special General Manager Show this Wednesday, as Garth Snow will be taking questions on Islanders TV. Air time for the first installment of the Q and A session is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
Fans interested in submitting a question can do so via Facebook, Twitter or e-mailing the Islanders at firstname.lastname@example.org. Interested participants can submit questions until 10:00 a.m. on the 28th.
